Website Design Process

Information

What happens after requesting a free website design quotation via this website?

1. Initial Consultation

We will arrange to meet with you to establish your website's target audience, intended pages and any additional features.

Some clients feel daunted by the term 'consultation', don't worry - it's just a informal discussion with no-obligation to ensure we understand exactly what you want from your website.

2. Beginning Work

After discussing and agreeing the specifics for your website, you will be sent a more accurate website proposal. To begin work on your website, it is required that you agree to this proposal and our terms and conditions. Depending on the project, you will be asked for a deposit (normally between 20%-50% of the total cost).

3. Website Content

You will then be sent an example design (mock) for your approval, and at this point you should be collect all your content such as text and photographs together. It is prefered that content is delivered electronically via email or CD-ROM.

It is important to take time to look over the example design, and the detailed website proposal to make sure your website is how you would like in terms of content and design as changes after this point can increase the time and cost of the project.

4. From Paper to Screen

During your website build, we will email you at various stages to see progress being made and collect your comments.

5. Pre-Launch Checks

Once your website is complete, you will be given time to compile a list of items that require amending or correcting. This can be known as a "snagging list". It is important to set time aside to go through the website in details prior to launch.

6. Website Live

After the "snagging list" issues have been address, you will be requested to pay the balance remaining for the website. Once this payment is received, your website will be made live.

A number of post-launch tasks are carried out such as submitting your website to search engines and reporting visitors statistics and then on-going maintence, if requested.
